Weekend freeway restrictions Oct. 19-22

PHOENIX -- Drivers around the Valley may need to plan some extra time to allow for construction work along freeways this weekend.
• Southbound Interstate 17 will be narrowed to two lanes between Greenway and Thunderbird roads from 11 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. on Sunday. Northbound I-17 also will be narrowed to three lanes near Thunderbird Road.
• Greenway Road will be closed between Loop 303 and Sarival Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers could use either Bell or Waddell roads as alternate routes.
