Thank goodness for the border patrol
The border patrol seems to be our only link left to the federal government for protecting our state, and on a wider scale our nation. We have a president who delibartely violates his oath to enforce the laws by telling ICE to ignore Arizona, and wants to create amnesty for criminals who broke our laws. I thank the border patrol for doing their job, when we have an adminstration that refuses to do theirs.

    unfortunately facts don't agree...
there are a record low total number of illegals in the country. Now we could give credit to two people. Obama for enforcing our laws, Bush and republicans for so completely and utterly destroying our economy that even the ultra poor jumped ship. I still thank the feds that they are doing their job to keep the boarder safe and secure. Great job guys.

    Overall...
I find it disgusting when politicians, Republican, Democrat, or whatever group they may be associated with, will put the safety and well being of their citizens at risk merely to gain an edge in the political field. For that, I am thoroughly offended by Obama and am thankful that the border patrol will protect us where he won't.

Picking and choosing...such a silly expression,
Constitutionalist. Every cop on every beat picks and chooses which infractions of the law will be attended to at any given moment. You know this to be true. Why even blowhard Arpaio picks and chooses what laws he feels like enforcing. He picked immigration law enforcement, going after illegal cleaning ladies emptying wastebaskets, while at the same time choosing to ignore sex predators who were raping small children. All with your blessing it appears. Pontificating does not become you.

First, I don't "give my blessing" to law enforcement ignoring sex predators, nor to ignoring any criminal. Again you miss my point, and seemingly will continue to live in denial and continue to miss the point, that what the President has done is a deliberate and direct violation of his oath, all for the sake of garnering votes and political popularity. So no, I don't excuse the local law enforcement for focusing more effort to arrest illegal imigrants while sacraficing the time to spend on searching for and arresting other criminals, but two wrongs do not make a right.

Also, if we want to talk about crime activity exluding the act of just being an illegal immigrant, then consider that in Arizona roughly 38 percent of arrested criminals in Arizona are illegal immigrants. Thats about 2 out of every 5 criminals. And amongst that group, roughly 24 percent of them are guility of sexual crimes. So please don't tell me that illegal immigrants are not subject to being guilty of violent and sexual crimes, and are mereley workers acting as maids or landscapers simply looking to better themselves.

Like any other group of people, there are criminals amongst them as there are amongst Whites, Blacks, Asians, Canadians, or whoever. I just so happens that there is a higher percentage of criminals that fall into the group of illegal immigrants in this state than any other group. And the fact that our president, the head of our nation, is deliberately refusing to enforce the laws in our state, shows a poor example. And even if others may pick and choose. Two wrongs do not make a right.
