PHOENIX -- One of two suspects in the fatal shooting of an Arizona State University honor student in 2010 has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 21-year-old Louis Eugene Harper also pleaded guilty Monday to armed robbery in the case and will be sentenced Nov. 7.

Tempe police say 21-year-old Zachary Marco was shot as he was walking home on Oct. 17, 2010. He later died at a Tempe hospital.

Police believe Marco was killed for his cell phone and laptop computer.

Detectives recovered Marco's computer bag and say they found fingerprints from Harper and the other suspect, who's yet to be sentenced after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in February.

Police say Harper was on probation for theft and resisting arrest at the time of the shooting.
