Police arrest man for bat-beating death of ex's boyfriend
PHOENIX -- Phoenix police said they've arrested a Chicago man in the baseball bat killing of his ex-wife's new boyfriend.
Sgt. Steve Martos said David Walker, 29, flew to Phoenix and arrived at his former wife's home at about 12:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Martos said Walker went in the back door, got a baseball bat from the garage and went into his wife's bedroom, where she was sleeping with her new boyfriend.
Walker is accused of hitting Adam Moring, 29, repeatedly in the head with the bat. He also hit his wife and then forced her to drive with their two children to nearby Tempe.
Walker got out and ran away, and the woman called police. Martos said Walker was found in a hotel late Thursday and arrested on murder and other charges.
