Arizonans should be prepared for some extreme weather over the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

In a bulletin, NWS said that a strong Pacific weather system is expected to move into Arizona on Thursday evening, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be severe enough to bring one-inch hail and isolated tornadoes.

The hazardous weather warning was issued in east-central Arizona, west-central Arizona and south-central Arizona.

NWS said it is likely that extreme weather spotters will be activated.
