Paul Penzone's running for Sheriff, we get his thoughts on Sheriff Arpaio not debating and PLEA endorsing the Sheriff as well.

The Democratic candidate for Maricopa County Sheriff said he is not worried about the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association's endorsement of the incumbent, Joe Arpaio.

If anything, Paul Penzone feels the endorsement shows a weak link in Arpaio's campaign.

"You see the sheriff pursuing endorsements to try to solidify his position because he recognizes he can't keep his job based on his past record anymore," Penzone told News/Talk 92.3 KTAR's Karie & Chuck on Tuesday.

Penzone said he has received endorsements from numerous law enforcement agencies, including a group that includes management of the Phoenix Police Department.

    the opposition. His stumblebum manner, lack of knowledge on the issues and the high profile exposure of his horrendous record in office could only hurt his reelection prospects.

    will even forgive an wife beater if it means open borders and non enforcement of 1070. If you can't control your own temper around your family what makes you think you can do it when in a real high pressure job. Additionally when ones own kind fails to endorse you its gotta tell ya something.

    Arpaio doesn't have to do anything at this stage to easily win re-election.

    With the exception of Micoacan, you folks are delusional. We are enduring the worst brazen case of facism this county, state, and maybe even country has ever witnessed. This is a bully with a badge, who can't manage the department. He is and has done incredible fiscal damage to this county, spending our tax dollars to go after political enemies. He fails to investigate child abuse claims, and instead rousts whomever he can find with brown skin. His pompice attitude and arrogant ways are going to catch up to him. Sheriff Joe has got to go

    The senile bully doesn't want to debate because he's afraid of being discovered for how insane he is. No problem, Arizona's insane voters still love him (although I thought they all listened to that awful AM station). It doesn't surprise me that Arizona's police union - a union of overgrown bullies with badges - love this guy. I love police, am thankful for their service, but Phoenix cops have power-trip issues.
