Five people were arrested Friday night on human smuggling charges, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said in a release.

A woman originally reported that four men pointed a gun at her and demanded she drive them to their destination. However, during the investigation, she admitted that she lied to law enforcement and was smuggling the four men.

The four men said they were from either Mexico or Honduras and paid between $2,000 and $2,200 each to be smuggled into the United States. All four men crossed the border near Sonoita.

All four men and the woman, a U.S. citizen, were booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on human smuggling charges.

Come on guys, it's not THEIR fault!
They heard of Obama's new "priority enforcement" policy and said, "Hey, if we can make it to the US, go undetected for several years, stay out of trouble, start a family, we won't be deported!" Who could pass up such a great offer?

All they have to do is just lie to immigration and there are no proof requirements. Not to mention all of the fraud documents they can obtain.
