KINGMAN, Ariz. -- A Peach Springs man has pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in the death of a friend who was abandoned at a cemetery in 100-degree heat.

The Kingman Daily Miner reported that Roland Cook, 50, was deemed the most responsible of an intoxicated group of four who left Darlene Sinyella, 39, at the cemetery near Truxton in June 2011.

Sinyella suffered from diabetes, walked with a cane and was legally blind.

A crew later found Sinyella's body at the cemetery.

Cook could face up to eight years in prison.

Cook was the driver of a caravan of friends and admitted the group downed half a bottle of vodka on the way to the cemetery.

Three others were charged with abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Two have entered into plea agreements.
