Man pleads guilty in Phoenix meat cleaver attack

PHOENIX -- A man accused of seriously wounding two people with a meat cleaver over his firing from a job in Phoenix has pleaded guilty in the case.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 28-year-old Qui Tu Truong pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempting to commit first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
He's scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 9.
Police say Truong was irate over being fired from a Phoenix market in May 2011. They say he went to a condominium and attacked two fellow workers- a 21-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman.
Authorities say Truong blamed the woman for his firing and attacked her first with the meat cleaver before wounding the woman's nephew.
Truong fled the condo after the attack, but was later arrested and police say they found blood on his shoes.
