Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne is under investigation by Phoenix police in connection with an alleged hit-and-run accident, something he said was not a big deal.

"Pulling out of a parking space in March, I bumped into somebody's bumper," he said. "I didn't think there was damage and so I didn't leave my name to pay for it. I would have been happy to pay for it if I thought there was damage. I've sent a letter to County Attorney Bill Montgomery asking for the name of the person and I would happy to pay for the damage. We haven't heard back but I stand ready to pay for it."

The hit-and-run case is part of the FBI's investigation into Horne's alleged campaign finance violations.

Horne said the accusations that he broke campaign laws are "totally false."

The U.S. Attorney's Office, in a statement, said it is not investigating Horne.

    Perfect example..........
Of what it's like to have the FBI following you around - they're hoping they can turn any molehill into a mountain to justify their existence. Every driver has had an instance where they've had someone tap their bumper - or have hit someone's bumper themselves in a parking lot. Rarely is there ever even a mark on the other car with the flexible bumpers they've had on cars for the last ten years or so. If these creeps see you spit on the sidewalk, they'll add it into your lifetime file of misdemeanors, trying desperately to make their case and make themselves look like they're workin' hard !

    Above the law?
And when Tom Horne was apprehended for speeding a while back on the 51, his defense: the posted signs on the freeway were confusing to him. A law degree from Harvard (despite some accusations of criminal activity while enrollled), yet unable to comprehend the posted signs on a freeway! Makes you wonder who is the person (below) is who rushed to his defense. Obviously, someone who thinks nothing of hitting your car because today's cars have "flexible bumpers." Tell that to your insurance company next time you have an accident.
