A leaking chlorine tank created a hazardous material situation in Peoria on Wednesday.
"A worker came out and noticed one of the 150-pound chlorine tanks was leaking," said Amanda Jacinto with the Peoria Fire Department.
Jacinto said the containment plan was to place a container around the leaky tank.
The situation closed Rose Garden Lane between 107th Ave. and Lake Pleasant Road.
Residents in the area received a reverse-911 call asking them to stay indoors while crews investigate. Jacinto said the air quality has not been affected.
