PHOENIX -- The man suspected of shooting an Oakland Raiders fan near the University of Phoenix Stadium nearly two weeks ago, is a former police officer.

The suspect, Michael Horan, 57, was not an officer in Arizona.

Glendale Police, who investigated the incident, in which the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, has turned in its findings to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

Based on witness statements the victim, Chris Knight, 29, and Horan got into a confrontation in the parking lot near a motel. Knight was wearing silver face paint.

Horan attended the game with his wife. The altercation has been described by authorities as "fan based."
