Breaking Up: After 35 years together, Australian band INXS is calling it quits. The band had highs with hits like "Need You Tonight", "Devil Inside" and "New Sensation." But it suffered a low with the untimely death of lead singer Michael Hutchence in 1997. E!Online reports the band broke the news during show in Perth, Australia on Sunday night.
Near Miss for Paul McCartney: The U.K. Transportation Department is investigating a near air disaster that could have killed Paul McCartney and his wife. The incident happened back in May when a pilot was trying to land on the singer's helipad, but became disoriented. The charter helicopter suddenly started to plummet toward some trees. The Daily Mail reports that just two feet from a fatal crash, the pilot was able to pull the aircraft away from tree tops. They were able touch down safely at a nearby airport.
Elsewhere in England... and happening over the weekend, "Transformers" actor Shia LaBeouf reportedly got into a fight at pub. According to AceShowbiz, some guy grabbed his baseball cap and refused to give it back. The hat was reportedly a souvenir from a trip to Laos. No word on if he got it back.
Cute Animal Video: This one is from Animal Planet. The cable network issued a warning: "The following program contains material that is just too darn cute." Well, of course it does. It has puppies in slow motion:
