Click Chick: New trailer for Tom Cruise's 'Jack Reacher'
"There's this guy..." who was maybe a cop.
He doesn't care about proof or the law. Just
what's right. That guy would be Tom Cruise in "Jack
Reacher" which hits theaters this December. Tom is usually
pretty good in all of his movies. But I have to say I
don't know what I liked better in the trailer - him or the
muscle car he keeps revving.
RIP in Ernest Borgnine. The veteran actor
died at age 95. He was on the TV series McHale's Navy and
the title role in Marty. That earned him an Oscar. He was
also in The Poseidon Adventure and The Wild Bunch. Read
more about him here.
There's a viral ad campaign for the new Robocop movie
coming out in 2013. Yes, folks. If they've rebooted
Spiderman, Batman and Total Recall, why not Robocop.
Entertainment Weekly notes the
first film came out in 1987 - during the Cold War - as a
"satire of the corporatization of the military industrial
complex dressed up as a glibly brutal sci-fi thriller."
So, we excange the military industrial complex to the hot
issue of US police forces using drones and you've got a
new take on the 25 year old film.
It's Brad Pitt's family that's making it into the
headlines. His brother Doug for stepping into the
limelight to be a Virgin Mobile Australia spokesperson.
And his mom for writing a letter encouraging people to
vote for Mitt Romney because of his stance against gay
marriage and abortion. While on the Today show, Matt Lauer
asked Duog about the family dynamic since his brother Brad
is liberal. Watch the
interview here.
