Rob’s 5 On It: Conspiracy theories about missing Malaysian Air flight

Mar 14, 2014, 5:06 PM | Updated: 5:06 pm

Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 went missing early Saturday morning on a scheduled flight between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing.

The flight was carrying a total of 239 people, including passengers and crew members.

As of this writing, there seems to be a growing body of evidence suggesting the Boeing 777 continued flying after the transponders were turned off. Some U.S. officials now believe the airplane remained in the air for at least four more hours potentially covering another 2,200 nautical miles.

It was presumed Flight 370 crashed but no debris from the plane has been found yet. So many questions pertaining to this flight remain unanswered. Because of that, the conspiracy theories exist. Here are some of them.
