Substance abuse is difficult for anyone to handle, but for Arizona’s children, it can turn deadly.
Education Outside the Box, a statewide group, seeks to help those children with abuse issues before the situation leads them to death or suicide.
The group’s founder, Hilary Cummings, has been focused primarily on teaching the state’s young Native American population suicide prevention skills, but hopes to reach out to more of Arizona’s youth.
Education Outside the Box is based in Phoenix.
