In a moment of ultimate triumph and teamwork, a Louisville, Kentucky woman enlists the help of a police officer to finish a 10K race.

Asia Ford decided to participate in last Sunday’s Rodes City Run after shedding nearly 200 pounds from her once 470-pound stature, the Huffington Post reported.

With nearly two miles to go, Ford found herself struggling but was determined to finish.

Noticing her difficulty, Louisville Metro Police Lt. Aubrey Gregory came to Ford’s rescue. Together, the two walked the rest of the race hand-in-hand and were greeted with a warm welcome.

“When I watched her approach and I started to hear people scream and I let her go right there before the end and to see her raise her hands, there aren’t words to express the way I felt seeing her be successful,” Gregory told WHAS 11 of Ford’s finish.
