Report: Drunk groom thrown off honeymoon flight, wife flies on
This is not the way you want to start a marriage.
According to a report from Reuters, a man on his honeymoon got so drunk and belligerent that his flight to Costa Rica was diverted to Grand Cayman.
The U.S. citizen was escorted from the flight after it landed by Cayman Islands police and was being held in custody on a charge of drunk and disorderly conduct, according to Royal Cayman Islands Chief Inspector Raymond Christian.
The man also decided to pick a fight with his new bride, who did not stay in Cayman. She continued on to her original destination, leaving her new husband behind.
The man could face additional charges under international air law.
