The war on Barbie is still raging and there may be new ammunition for the anti-doll side.

According to the International Business Times, artist Nickolay Lamm designed the "Average Barbie" to look like the typical body of a 19-year-old woman.

"The design of Lammily is the statement itself: average is beautiful," Lamm told the International Business Times in an email.

Rather than sending the idea to Mattel, Lamm said he plans to try to make the dolls himself after receiving a lot of positive feedback.

"After I created Average Barbie, a lot of kids and mothers were asking me, 'Where can we get a doll like this?' So, Lammily is my response to them. I did this for them," he said. "I'm not necessarily trying to send a message, I'm just trying to make an alternative which does not yet exist."

Lamm hoped to raise $95,000 for the dolls through crowdfunding. As of Thursday morning, he had already raised more than $153,000.
