Majority of Americans have low opinion of Mexico

Most Americans have a negative opinion of Mexico.
A survey found that 43 percent of those participating rated Mexico as very unsafe for travel, while only 3 percent thought that of Canada and 12 percent said they would feel unsafe in Greece.
When it came to associating words with Mexico, drugs was the first mention for 22 percent, followed by 17 percent as second mention and 6 percent as a third mention.
Eighty-five percent said they got most of their information from the news media.
Meanwhile, only 14 percent felt unsafe in Cancun.
